Taustamarkkinat BGMT Oy – COURAGE IS A VITAL COMPONENT OF SUCCESS

Pursuing your dreams takes a lot of courage. It takes guts to stand up for what you believe in and put yourself out there in the face of uncertainty and the possibility of failure. However, courage is what sets apart those who succeed in their endeavors from those who might not. In this blog post, we’ll explore why courage is so essential for anyone looking to pursue their dreams and turn their ideas into a successful start-up as well as provide five tips for building it up.

Starting a business is no small feat. It requires you to take risks, step out of your comfort zone, and face the possibility of failure head-on. We entrepreneurs must believe in ourselves and our ideas, even when others don’t. This kind of bravery is essential for overcoming the many obstacles that come with starting a new business. From securing funding to dealing with unexpected challenges, we must be willing to take risks and make decisions that may not always seem logical or popular.

I have a first-hand experience of doing something that for most looked like crazy and that the idea was way out there. And I guess in some way it has been, but I wouldn’t change a minute of it. You see, I’m a true believer of the old saying: “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” (Norman Vincent Peale).

Another important aspect of entrepreneurial courage is the ability to pivot and make changes as needed. The path to success is rarely straightforward, and it’s not uncommon for start-up entrepreneurs to encounter roadblocks and obstacles along the way. However, it takes a ton of honesty and bravery to recognize when a change is necessary and to make the necessary adjustments to keep your business on track. This may mean shifting your focus, adjusting your strategy, or even completely changing the direction of your company. Entrepreneurs who are willing to make these tough decisions are the ones who ultimately succeed.

On our way to the US sports market, we have shifted our focus twice – first just by listening our target audience/ customers and then due to pandemic. The key component was my ability to maintain a curious and positive attitude, even in the face of a failure. I believe failure is a natural part of the process, and it’s important for entrepreneurs to have the courage to keep moving forward, even when things don’t go as planned. This means having the confidence to pick yourself up after a setback.

Finally, courage is essential for networking and building relationships with others. Entrepreneurs need to have the courage to reach out to others, make connections, and build relationships that will help their businesses succeed. This may mean putting yourself out there and asking for help, even when it feels uncomfortable. However, it’s through these connections that entrepreneurs are able to find support, resources, and opportunities that can help them grow their businesses and achieve their goals.

This has been my toughest lesson to learn – asking for help – but it also has been one the most rewarding to find out how many people are genuinely willing to help and push you forward. Especially after facing so many nay-sayers and doubters.

But with the right mindset and tools, you can overcome them and turn your ideas into a thriving business. Continue to grow and develop. You have the potential to achieve great things and make a positive impact on the world. Believe in yourself and build up a mindset that will turn your dreams into a reality.

Here are five ways to build up courage in business:

  1. Surround yourself with supportive people: Having a support system of family, friends, and mentors can provide encouragement and inspiration, helping you overcome fear and uncertainty.
  1. Learn from failure: Embrace failure as a learning opportunity and use it to gain knowledge and experience. The more you fail, the less daunting it becomes, and the more confident you’ll be in your abilities.
  1. Focus on progress, not perfection: Don’t let the fear of failure hold you back. Instead, focus on making progress towards your goals and celebrating small victories along the way.
  1. Practice mindfulness and self-care: Taking care of your mental and physical health can help you feel more confident and resilient in the face of challenges.
  1. Seek out opportunities for growth and development: Whether it’s attending a workshop, reading a book, or taking a course, continuously learning and expanding your skills can boost your confidence and courage.

With adventurous spirit,
