The Tahko Ski Lift Pitch competition is an experience that enables the growth of startup entrepreneurs and boosts the most innovative business ideas. Association of Board Partners in Eastern Finland’s prize for the TOP 3 

Association of Board Partners in Eastern Finland will offer one unofficial, two hour Board meeting with three boad partners selected to match company’s needs. The agenda of online meeting will be build according to company’s wishes. 

BGMT’s 2-minute video pitch for the winner

The prize is designed to give one lucky winner the chance to showcase their business and bring their vision to life. 

The winning start-up will receive a produced 2-minute video that uses the company’s pitch deck as a basis and showcases business idea, including mission, goals, and how the solution will change the world. The video will be crafted to engage, educate, and inspire the audience, making it the perfect tool to secure funding, attract partners, and get noticed. 

The video will be produced by a team of professionals who understand the importance of storytelling and how to bring ideas to life on screen. They will work closely with the winner to create a compelling and impactful video that will help them stand out from the crowd and bring their vision to life. 

The winning star-up will have the chance to take their business to the next level, reach a wider audience, and make a real impact.

Berggren’s IP scanning for the winner

Berggren Oy offers an IP scanning for the winner of startup competition. IP scanning will be carried out by Berggren’s IP professionals. In the IP scanning we will together with the company’s representative review their business’ present state and targets, evaluate present status of intellectual property rights and contracts and give our suggestion on which further actions for example, might be considered. IP scanning includes meeting with company’s representatives and a compilation report of our observations and suggestions. The meeting will be held primarily e.g., by Teams, however, depending on the location also a face to face meeting may be arranged. Value of the prize is approximately 1000 eur.

Elias Aalto is one of the founders and the original product lead of Wolt. He's also a co-founder of Qvik – a digital agency that has grown organically to over 120 experts. Prior to them, he designed and developed early games on the iOS, claiming the first Apple Design Award in the Nordics for his game Wooden Labyrinth 3D.

After exiting Wolt, Elias has concentrated on bringing up his daughters and dabbling in angel investing. Recently he joined Shark Tank Finland as one of the sharks on the show.

Juho Pesonen is a professor of tourism business and deputy head of the department at University of Eastern Finland Business School. He is a member of the Tourism Business research group and the director of the International Master’s Degree Programme in Tourism Marketing and Management. Prof. Pesonen completed his Ph.D. in marketing at University of Eastern Finland, focusing on market segmentation in rural tourism. Now his research focuses on understanding how tourism businesses can survive and thrive in the digital and sustainability transformations. Prof. Pesonen also has the title of Adjunct Professor of digital marketing at University of Turku. He has widely published his research in dozens of peer-reviewed academic journals and has edited several books in the tourism field. He also holds several board positions in companies and associations.
